The LIFT-UP program is the BREAKOUTcx engagement model. It is a partnering framework for leaders wishing to overhaul, course-correct, or enhance how they lead and operate as a unified, collaborative organization.
Every organization and leadership dynamic is unique, just as is every partnership with BREAKOUTcx. And yet the LIFT-UP fundamentals remain the same. At the core is a proven, yet flexible blueprint for helping leaders and teams re-engineer the effectiveness of their organization through a ‘teamship infused leadership’ approach.
The program is scalable and encompasses five phases and milestones irrespective of the engagement scope, type, and complexity.
Whether the work we do together entails executive leadership coaching, singular team coaching, or a wholistic shift to becoming a teamship and leadership synergized organization, there are several key overarching success drivers, inclusive of coaching, at play in LIFT-UP:
Before the work begins, regardless of the engagement requirements and timeline, I will ensure the client has a clear picture and understanding of important aspects of the work - starting with why they (who) would participate in the LIFT-UP program in the first place. Knowing what the client will receive, how the client will receive it, and where will the value be realized is absolutely paramount in the partnership. The following five phases capture these fundamental aspects of all LIFT-UP programs.

We live in an era of rapid change and opportunities. For nearly four decades, the VUCA World model ( volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous ) provided a common base to working, thinking, and making sense of the world in general. However, today we find ourselves increasingly concerned about how we reasonably deal with a seemingly chaotic world - and the VUCA model no longer holds up. A new approach to navigate and manage all our political, organizational, social, economical, and cultural systems at scale has never been more needed.
Stephen Grabmeier describes BANI ( B:rittle, A:nxious, N:on-linear and I:ncomprehensible) as a new and more relevant model. BANI paints a clear picture of how the world looks to us today, and it makes each aspect of the old model more tangible.
The BANI characteristics can be distilled down as: i) dealing with system brittleness requires collaborative capacity and resilience, ii) addressing anxiety asks for empathy and presence, iii) nonlinearity calls for context and agility, and iv) incomprehensibility demands transparency and intuition.
The demands of a BANI world are synchronous with many of the core attributes of high performance teams. A perspective shift of how things really are lays the groundwork to understand why a high performing team mindset in any organization is key to surviving and succeeding in the chaos - real or perceived.
In the face of a BANI world, the potential holistic organizational impact of "teamship Infused leadership" is enormous - yet often remains hindered by uniformed leaders and outdated hierarchical systems and structures.
