Hello ! My name is Kim Tofin

I am a father of two amazing young women, a passionate traveler, a food enthusiast, a seeker of quantum energy, and a loyal friend. Giving back and striving to leave the world better than I found it continuously inspires and motivates me. Years ago, my wife and I spent four years working and traveling in Africa and Asia, where extraordinary experiences and encounters deeply shaped who I am today.

I spent over thirty years in hi-tech sales, marketing, and business development, where I enjoyed both successes and challenges. Along the way, I gained valuable insights into what worked and what didn’t, and developed a deep curiosity about why people behave the way they do in team settings.

My coaching journey began in 2011 when I took a year off between jobs and became a certified leadership coach. As fate would have it, I was drawn back into the fast-paced world of international sales and marketing for another decade. However I kept my practice alive and continued to coach at a scaled back level.

I Uncovered a New Purpose and Made a Commitment

After the loss of my best friend and life partner, I struggled to find solace and meaning in my life. I was feeling the pressure to remain stable for my daughters while focusing on how I would adjust to some unknown version of my altered life. Eventually, I became aware of internal and external obstacles that were impeding where my true passion was, and had always been.

BREAKOUTcx was reborn in 2020 -guided by a new mission to support individuals, teams, leaders, and organizations harness their full potential to reach and exceed the goals they set out to achieve.

Today BREAKOUTcx revolves almost entirely around my 'Teamship Infused Leadership' brand - delivered through a flexible teamship partnership program called LIFT-UP, anchored by high performance team and executive leadership coaching.

My Phase II Professional Development Commitment

As a member of the the International Coaching Federation (ICF) ICF Coach Certification credentialing, a Core Practitioner of ICF accredited Presence-Based® Coaching, a graduate of the Team Coaching Fundamentals Program, Team Coaching Certificate, and Team Coaching Diploma from the ICF and AC accredited Team Coaching Studio (TCS) in London UK, I work with clients and teams in primarily corporate hi-tech organizations, institutions, and all levels of government .

Systemic leadership and teamship coaching create a space where individuals, leaders, and teams can explore new possibilities and reach their full potential. Coaching is not something done to or for the client; it is a collaborative process that evolves into something emergent.

I am committed to working with leaders and teams at a high-performance level - requiring significant time investment, humility, self-awareness, empathy, and dedication to the client . Holding space for individuals and teams means suspending my biases and staying neutral in the face of my client’s perspectives, emotions, and growing self-awareness.

My coaching philosophy continues to evolve, shaped not only by experience, knowledge, and skills, but also by being fully present with the unique nature of each individual and/or team I work with.
